We went on to Europe and had a few days in Germany

The Sound of the Church Bells (excuse my commentary)

We had the weekend with Bart and then had a few days sightseeing. We loved what we saw of Germany, it's beautiful and green, obviously they get plenty of rain :-) Cute little village's were spotted everywhere. Rosemarie suggested we visit Heidelberg which was very beautiful, it would've been even prettier in sunshine
This is looking up at the Heidelberg Castle
On 1 of the bridges looking at the old city

We enjoyed wandering around soaking up the sights:-)

We had a few coffee stops
And of course tasted their treats:-)

We loved all the houses along the river side

Another view of the castle

There were lots of little interesting cobbled side streets

Then we headed across to drive down the Romantic Road which has lots of cute old villages along the route

We chose not to go on the motorways so we wandered thru lots of interesting country sights :-)

Our favourite city on this road was a walled city called Rothenburg ob der Tauber

We walked around the city on the top of the wall

We enjoyed all the sights on the way round

We found these delicious looking pastries,  Schneeballes,  that were originally a specialty from Rothenburg odt

I chose 1 of the smaller 1's, it was a little like eating an uncooked slice, but maybe different flavours would be different

I couldn't resist taking photos of all the flower boxes and arrangements outside peoples house's

A cute shop

I love all the different shaped steeples
Walking up to the Castle in Fussen

The Neuschwanstein Castle

Hi to Bart outside their Tent Mission with one of the young friends Franziska

We couldn't believe all the Rd  signs for the mission that looked all very official but apparently it's what they usually do.

We went for a walk around the village where we were staying in

I loved this sight

Bart and his co Andreas

This was outside the door of Rita Karl's place where we were staying
