Argentina with June

I'm doing an Argentina Post and a Bolivian Post just because the photos get so out of order!

Leaving Auckland Airport for the 1st time on Lan Chile.

Heading back home after sitting on the plane for a few hours! After a good nights sleep we got going again and made it thru to June in Buenos Aires a day later:-)

We went out to German and Rossie who live on the convention grounds there. We had a bit of a snooze. June took us for a walk down to the nearby village and then later in the evening German (pronounced Herman) cooked us an Argentina Barbecue:-) it was very delicious, the steak was one of the best! I could only manage 1 piece even though it was offered several times more!
Donald was there for the weekend so it was good to catch up with him

It was Florencea's 17th Birthday

The next day we went out to their farm to help butcher a cow!!!!!!! How do you like June's new hair style:-)
Donald was the chief Butcher

Lew managed to chop his finger in his sleepy state!

After the meeting with German and Rossie and Florncea, June Laura and Lew
Our 31st wedding Anniversary

June took us out for the day sightseeing, we had lunch in this little Plaza with the Tango Dancers entertaining us.
We went out for Dinner to a Tango Evening for the Argentina Experience:-)
There's lots of lovely trees in BA

Having a snack for dinner in our hotel room
We seemed to do lots of eating:-) This meal was at a restaurant by the river that was decorated in an Argentine Cowboy theme, the waiters dressed in their gaucho attire

Lew ploughing thru another steak:-)

Barbecuing the meat at 1 of the restaurants in the city

Wandering by the old docks and river

At the famous BA Cemetery

Lots of Tangos are playing on the streets

In the center of town, The Obelisk, we stayed just down the road from it so it was a great land mark

I think this was Parliment

We saw lots of Dog walkers
This is with Martin
The Subways had all these amazing Murals that related to the history of BA

This was the day that Lew had the unfortunate experience of losing his wallet to a Pick Pocket without feeling a thing!!! While we had a guy vomiting at our feet!!!!!!

Most of the trains had graffiti on them

This was at the Italian Quarter where some of the 1st immigrants came to

It's very colourful
Our last supper:-) LOL     Tiramisu and Lew had a dessert called Naughty Boy!
Thanks June and Laura for everything while we were in BA. It was most enjoyable:-)

Merle, I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at all your pictures of your trip! What a wonderful experience! I'm assuming these are workers from N.Z.? Related to you? I recognize Laura from when she was a nanny here in BC. How long were you gone for? So next trip is Canada????!!!! I just came back from a week on Vancouver Island - spent some time with a worker friend of mine - was very relaxing - so will post some pics soon - I'm very behind on posting as I still haven't posted Ethan's 1st b'day pics from the beginning of May. Its been a VERY busy month. Anyways just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the overview of your trips.
