Lew had a couple of days down working in Christchurch so I thought I'd go down too:-) My good friend Caroline picked me up and gave me a lovely time taking me around. Thanks Caroline:-) We went into the city to have a look at the container city they have built.
Michael and Caroline took us for a drive around some of the area's affected by the earthquake after dinner. We came to where this church had been and they had a white chair for everyone that had been lost in the earthquake set out as the congregation ! Lew got out to take the photos and got back into the car overcome with a wave of emotional after looking at the chairs and seeing the little chair and the baby car seat!
We had a family dinner at Grandma's the other night which was very enjoyable
I'm sure you heard me squeal when I looked down at the floor in the pantry after feeling a piece of hair or something on my arm!!!!!!!! Look how big it was and this is NZ! Where's it's mate??????
It was a beautiful morning at Milford beach as Lew got ready to swim around to Takapuna 2.8 kms
My husband with a half smile as he's wondering to himself if he's crazy not wearing a wet suit like 99% of the other swimmers!
Can you see his arms waving
Straight into the sun they go not sure which 1's Lew
Running to the finish post at 57mins:-)
The happy after smile that says I wasn't cold and I'm happy with my time:-)
We called in after the swim to check out the progress with Jess and Steve's flat:-) It's looking good
This is the pink cushion I bought in Perth for my pretty room:-)
