Argentina with June

I'm doing an Argentina Post and a Bolivian Post just because the photos get so out of order!

Leaving Auckland Airport for the 1st time on Lan Chile.

Heading back home after sitting on the plane for a few hours! After a good nights sleep we got going again and made it thru to June in Buenos Aires a day later:-)

We went out to German and Rossie who live on the convention grounds there. We had a bit of a snooze. June took us for a walk down to the nearby village and then later in the evening German (pronounced Herman) cooked us an Argentina Barbecue:-) it was very delicious, the steak was one of the best! I could only manage 1 piece even though it was offered several times more!
Donald was there for the weekend so it was good to catch up with him

It was Florencea's 17th Birthday

The next day we went out to their farm to help butcher a cow!!!!!!! How do you like June's new hair style:-)
Donald was the chief Butcher

Lew managed to chop his finger in his sleepy state!

After the meeting with German and Rossie and Florncea, June Laura and Lew
Our 31st wedding Anniversary

June took us out for the day sightseeing, we had lunch in this little Plaza with the Tango Dancers entertaining us.
We went out for Dinner to a Tango Evening for the Argentina Experience:-)
There's lots of lovely trees in BA

Having a snack for dinner in our hotel room
We seemed to do lots of eating:-) This meal was at a restaurant by the river that was decorated in an Argentine Cowboy theme, the waiters dressed in their gaucho attire

Lew ploughing thru another steak:-)

Barbecuing the meat at 1 of the restaurants in the city

Wandering by the old docks and river

At the famous BA Cemetery

Lots of Tangos are playing on the streets

In the center of town, The Obelisk, we stayed just down the road from it so it was a great land mark

I think this was Parliment

We saw lots of Dog walkers
This is with Martin
The Subways had all these amazing Murals that related to the history of BA

This was the day that Lew had the unfortunate experience of losing his wallet to a Pick Pocket without feeling a thing!!! While we had a guy vomiting at our feet!!!!!!

Most of the trains had graffiti on them

This was at the Italian Quarter where some of the 1st immigrants came to

It's very colourful
Our last supper:-) LOL     Tiramisu and Lew had a dessert called Naughty Boy!
Thanks June and Laura for everything while we were in BA. It was most enjoyable:-)

April

We spent Easter helping Jess and Steve put down their wooden floors. Well I should say Lew did and I was the provider of food and the 1 cleaning up etc:-)

It was a team effort:-) they had it sorted:-)

The exciting end result:-)

Then it was on to the skirting boards

And Painting

And putting in the shower

Even Brandon came over to do a spot of painting:-)

Anzac day we finished the painting and helped them shift in some of the big things before we left to go away. The kitchen had started to take shape:-)

Starting to get exciting after all the hard work:-)
Thanks Kerry:-) she gave me this lovely Gerbera after Dad died and it keeps flowering these beautiful flowers:-)

Out of order again! After we finished the floors at Easter we went out on the boat for the night for a treat:-) It was beautiful as you ca see, sadly we didn't have long enough to enjoy it.

When we came in the next morning the tide was high and there was hardly a ripple on the water  so we went for a little walk on the new walkway at Little Bucks and Jess decided she needed to have another swim:-)

I've been noticing these little characters on the backs of cars and decided I wanted some for my car, so a bought a few not quite decided what I want on my car exactly then 1 day I came out and here Lew had made the decision and he'd done it!!!! Husbands:-) Guess which 1 he is :-)

Brand and Jacque his flat mate. We took them out on the boat for a dive , as you can see it was another beautiful day:-)

Lew and Brand enjoying the fresh air:-)

Gearing up

Already to go

Getting our dinner organised on our night out on the boat:-)

Jess enjoying a quick dip:-)

Coming into the city in the morning to drop Steve off at work

Bye Steve Have a good day! We dropped him at the Viaduct
